New Delhi Television (NDTV) is considered as one of the most prestigious media networks in India. It introduced Psephology to the eager Indian masses and used state-of-the-art tools to bring slick programming and made an instant connect with its audience. Prannoy Roy, one of the promoters was an instant hit with his earnest demeanor and sly smile. This is the story of how this dynamic young man ended up presiding over one of the most corrupt media houses in Indian history.
The two Promoters of NDTV, along with key top management colluded over the years with government functionaries and politicians to break laws, evade taxes and deceive shareholders of a public listed company. All this obviously through political patronage and “wheeling-and-dealing” as part of the Lutyens club and how they created a biased public discourse for a select elite class. Multinational corporations such as General Electric wittingly or otherwise aided NDTV by investing $150 million into a shell company with zero employees and zero revenue!
In the minds of the Indian citizen, there is a space and respect for media. Using the halo of journalism and under the garb of Freedom of Press, media owners misuse this position and in the end, degrade the values of journalism. On several occasions media became the tool of false propaganda, blackmailing and illegal money making with the blessing of uncouth politicians and corporate icons with hidden agendas. This ought to be exposed and that is the reason for this book.

Post 2014, May, lot of people from India (who on a daily basis watched barkha & rajdeep of NDTV hounded Modi) might have thought NDTV is finished. But even after 3 yrs nothing happened, in spite of numerous cases against pranay roy or NDTV they still doing their hit jobs. How? why? This book gives answers to all those. Its so scary how deep these networks are and how disgusting they are and at same time how powerful.Especially reading the plight of Tax officer (who in my view is real hero compared to intolerance amir khan, sarook khan & joker sulman khan).
It needs lot more courage and conviction to write such book. It is commendable Sree Iyer took that bold step.
Hope people buy and read this as a support to honest people out there.

Excellent analysis and breakdown of the issues with NDTV and overall fraud. Very informative.
Great summary of how the media king NDTV made their bucks. This is a corrupt Mafia behind talking anchors. Everything said in this book is backed by proof. Imagine how many things did these gangs did that was covered up. Surprised to see big names like GE, ICICI paying corrupt and sweet deals.

Commendable job by Shree Iyer , providing factual information on how promoters of ndtv used money laundering & fraud to make personal gains and evade taxes. Put out in simple language. Heart touching to read about Sincere officers being tortured and at the same time heart breaking to see the support ndtv received even after fraud complaints were filed.
Must read. Books like these points out the flaws we have in our society. Hope it inspires people to look up to national integrity than personal gains.
My hearty congratulations to Mr. Iyer for his excellent work... My Salute to all the IT, ED and other HONEST Govt. Officials... Special mention to Dr. Swamy the crusader against corruption. Even a million salute would not be enough for his service to the nation. I don't want to talk about the title as this media house don't have any place in this Modi India... I am signing off with the sustained confidence that i have with People like Mr.Iyer, Mr.Guru, Dr. Swamy and our beloved PM... Jai Hind...
Some intemperate language, but a good insight into the wheeling and dealing.

This is a must read for every Indian to understand how NDTV is duping people and how the owners have "frauded" their own company.
The most surprising thing one feels after reading the book is "How come NDTV is still in business?".
NDTV projects an image of integrity and honesty when in reality they are a fraud company.
Very well Written
Sree Iyer has done a fantastic job of putting together facts and an excellent narrative on the most unethical promoters in the media business in India. This book is a definite read and a true reflection of nearly all the media companies in India. Corporate governance, role of independent directors and more important collapse of the regulatory mechanism comes out very glaringly.
